First Visit
On your first visit you will initially be prompted to fill out new patient paperwork. This includes a complete health history, and all of the necessary HIPAA, privacy forms, and X-ray waivers. If you would like to fill these out before hand please refer to the paperwork tab at the top of the page, or contact our office and you can be emailed the appropriate document. After you have finished your paperwork you will be brought into our exam room and Dr. Harpenau will perform a thorough exam including orthopedic and neurological tests, range of motion, and she will have a conversation with you about your health concerns. If needed, X-rays will then be taken and developed on site.
The first visit can be lengthy due to the extend of information you will be given. Plan to spend about an hour with us at this first visit.
Second Visit
On your second visit your X-rays will be explained to you in detail. Dr. Harpenau will let you know how and if she can help you. If needed, you will receive a chiropractic treatment on this visit.
This visit is also lengthier than your normal visit. Plan to spend 30-45 minutes with us.
Regular Visit
After your initial visit you may need additional visits to provide proper care for your health concerns. We know that your time is valuable and so every additional visit will be provided in a timely manner. We pride ourselves in little to no wait times so that you can receive the care you need without taking up a lot of your time.
A normal visit can take anywhere from 10-15 minutes. Although, some visits may require more or less time depending on each individual person on any given day. Please do not associate the value of care with the time spent. As we get to know your spine it will be easier, and we will become more efficient at assessing your individual needs.
